Abierto sólo por las tardes Gran pescado de muy buena calidad recién capturado a precios muy buenos. La Gamba de Dénia riquísima y las cigalas estaban vivas aún.

Ab ca. 17 Uhr starte hier die Fischauktion für einheimische Händler. Muss man Mal gesehen haben, also das Leeren der Fischkutter und Beförderung der Ware durch die Auktionshalle wo die Händler sitzen und bei automatisch sinkenden Preise dann kaufen müssen.

Pescado y marisco fresquísimo.
Nosotros compramos un corvo y unas gambas (de Almería, las de Denia estaban intocables), que nos prepararon con mucho mimo y que pusieron en una bolsa con hielo para que llegara lo más fresco posible a casa.

Just the smell of fish (rich and fresh) invites you in. We were served by two sisters who knew how to recommend what to bring and even how to cook it. The fish and seafood were incredibly fresh. We bought a squid and some shrimp (from Almería; the ones from Denia were unbeatable), which they prepared with great care and placed in a bag of ice so they arrived as fresh as possible to our home. It's important to check the opening hours! You can park in the port parking lot, and if you buy something at the fish market, you get 30 minutes free.
SUPER - Hoy hemos estado en la subasta a la baja de la lonja de Denia, algo digno de ver. Y por supuesto luego hemos comprado la famosa gamba de Denia y unas cigalitas, recién bajadas del barco, un verdadero lujazo, pues no son nada baratas, pero son una verdadera esquisitez.

Es una maravilla como lo tienen ya todo automatizado, recomiendo hacer la visita guiada ya que te explican todo el proceso, te explican técnicas de los pescadores, el funcionamiento... En fin, se conoce y se ve una lonja desde dentro, muy interesante.

Al recorrer este emblemático espacio, uno se siente inmerso en la esencia de la vida marinera, con redes cuidadosamente extendidas y preparadas para la próxima salida al mar, boyas y banderas que indican la actividad diaria de los pescadores. Nos gustó la visita que hicimos a la Lonja, encontramos una gran variedad de pescado fresco, y otros productos del mar en su tienda. Algunos pescados que no conocíamos. Es interesante ver la llegada de los barcos y sus pescadores. Una visita en la que se aprende y además puedes comprar.
